Opportunity

Eastern Slopes Honey is producer of 100% natural Alberta Honey. They're a small operation with a collection of hives nestled on the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies, away from the big farmland and mega crops of the prairies. They came to us for a logo a couple years ago and we've been stuck together ever since.

Approach

Logo design

Because the unique location of their hives is so important to the Eastern Slopes Honey brand story, we wanted the logo to reflect not just a product but a physical space as well. We designed a clean, modern logo and wordmark with shapes signifying the wild rose and rocky peaks.

Brand colours

The Eastern Slopes Honey visual identity is reflective of a time and space. We wanted the brand to feel like a summer in Southern Alberta, with big skies and sprawling meadows of wildflowers. We visited the hives to get a better sense of the farm, drawing inspiration for the brand look and feel. The Eastern Slopes Honey colour palette is inspired by the Eastern Slopes hives, a buzzing metropolis in a sea of wildflowers.

Label design

We worked with the Eastern Slopes Honey team to develop a clean and eye-catching label for their 250mL, 500mL and 750mL jars. The clear glass jars show off the yellow honey perfectly, matching the logo on the deep purple sticker almost perfectly. The Eastern Slopes team wanted a seal for their jars as well, so we designed a second sticker to go over the lid.

Website design

We helped drive awareness of the Eastern Slopes Honey brand through a clean and informative website, helping the team win new leads and sales opportunities. Designed to showcase the honey first and foremost, the website also lets people know where to get the honey and a bit about the Eastern Slopes Honey story.

Branded Collateral

When you make a new logo for a couple of dads, it's hard to not throw in a dad hat. We worked with the Eastern Slopes Honey team on some branded swag, including this khaki dad hat.

Solution

Collaborating from the ground up, we developed a new logo and modern brand reflective of the Eastern Slopes Honey brand story. We worked with them to design their labels, along with website and social media templates. Eastern Slopes Honey has been thriving under their new brand, generating a greater brand awareness and building new business partnerships.
